Digitally training 1,900+ farmers with Hindi-first content, assessments, and e-certificates
Overview:
The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Haryana piloted HMN’s Farmer Learning Sustainability Platform (Farmer LSP) to onboard farmers onto crop- and practice-specific micro-courses with assessments and instant e-certificates. The portal was hosted on HMN cloud, localized in Hindi, and designed for mobile-first access using phone-number credentials for ease of login.
Objectives:
Deliver structured, vernacular training on priority crops and sustainable practices.
Capture learning outcomes through quizzes and e-certificates.
Build a repeatable model the department can scale across districts and schemes.
Solution Deployed
LSP Portal (Hindi UI, mobile-first): Tenant configured for the department; simple phone-number login to minimize friction for first-time users.
Assessments & e-Certificates:Auto-graded quizzes and instant digital certificates;
Course Catalogue (10 priority modules): Direct Seeded Rice, Natural Farming, Crop Residue Management, Crop Diversification, Millets, Sugarcane, Maize, Oilseeds, Use of low-quality soil & water, and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)—each with bite-sized content and assessment.
Field Enablement: Registration drives and demos at DDA Karnal, HAMETI Jind, and HAU Hisar to sensitize officers and farmers.
What Impact Did It Create?
1,900+ farmers registered and 1,500+ active learners in the pilot window.
1,450+ certificates issued to 1,000+ farmers; 150–200 daily active users at steady state.
Officers report faster content dissemination and measurable uptake versus conventional classroom-only sessions.
